Présidée par M. le Délégué Départemental de l’Élevage, des Pêches et des Industries Animales, ce mini-comice se déroule sous fond de compétition. Le département de la Menoua étant une zone d’élevage du
porc de par son histoire d’où l’insulte « Dschang kouna », le festival KOUNA voudrait mettre en lumière toutes les races élevées sur place afin d’en faire la promotion. Les critères de désignation des vainqueurs
sont définis par Monsieur le délégué départemental du Ministère Départemental de l’Élevage, des Pêches et des Industries Animales.
La foire et compétition agricole.
Présidée par Monsieur le Délégué Départemental de l’Agriculture et du Développement Rural, cette compétition agricole vise à mettre en lumière les prouesses agriculturales des agriculteurs et à primer, une fois de plus, les meilleurs. Le département de la Menoua possède un terrain fertile sur lequel
pousse beaucoup de produits vivriers. Comme pour le mini comice agro-sylvo pastoral, c’est le Délégué
Départemental du MINEPIA qui définit les critères.
Les randonnées touristico-kounatiques.
Le festival KOUNA contribue à la valorisation du patrimoine local par sa convivialité et l’affluence touristique qu’il engendre. les festivaliers ont la possibilité de se prendre au jeu du tourisme et de découvrir les produits gastronomiques, artisanaux et autres spécialités du département par le biais de la visite des sites que regorge ce beau département. il en va de même quant au lieu hébergement et d’accueil du département et des localités environnantes qui bénéficient de l’afflux des visiteurs et autres curieux de passage attirés par l’animation locale que procure l’événement.
La dimension touristique du festival KOUNA « produit du terroir », labélisé, se base sur la relation entre la communauté et son environnement. il s’agit d’une ressource territoriale valorisée dans le cadre du festival kouna, dans un contexte naturel, économique et social particulier. KOUNA « porc » en langue yemba, mobilise son festival pour rendre visible le département et le positionner sur la carte touristique de la
région de l’ouest tout en lui donnant un sens communicationnel et commercial.
Présidée par la délégation départementale du Tourisme et des Loisirs de la Menoua & Monsieur le Directeur de l’Office du Tourisme de Dschang, la ville de Dschang est celle qui a ouvert le tout premier Office de Tourisme sur le territoire camerounais. En collaboration avec la délégation départementale du Tourisme et des loisirs, des randonnées touristiques sont organisées pour le grand bonheur des touristes.
En vue de rendre les établissements hôteliers toujours plus compétitifs dans ce département riche en sites touristiques, une compétions du meilleur établissement hôtelier est organisé et le meilleur est primé.
