About KOUNA Festival

History & Origins

The 8th edition of the KOUNA Festival will be held from November 20–28, 2026 at the AFC esplanade in Dschang, under the high patronage of the Ministry of Arts and Culture and the sponsorship of the West Regional Council.

A major touristic, cultural and entrepreneurial event celebrating Kounatitude: the pride, resilience and creativity of the Menoua people, through gastronomy, craftsmanship, heritage dances, fashion, sport and youth entrepreneurship.

Program highlights: the KOUNA Entrepreneurship Challenge (The KOUNA Boss), KOUNA d'Or & KOUNA Master Chef, KOUNA Fashion, Miss & Mister KOUNA elections, KOUNA Got Talent, KOUNA Street Dance, the "KOUNA Sportif" cross-country, the touristic Kounatique hike, the Gastronomic & Cultural Village, and the KOUNA Night & Awards gala.

Our Mission

Cultural Heritage

Preserve and promote the tangible and intangible heritage of the Menoua through culture, dance and gastronomy.

Social Cohesion

Foster intercultural dialogue, community living and the blending of populations from Cameroon and the diaspora.

International Reach

Position the Menoua as a major cultural and tourist destination at the national and international level.

Local Economy

Promote youth entrepreneurship, create local economic opportunities and attract investors.
